The Daffodil Ball

In 2017, Total’s creative team was approached to help bring a Beatles themed event to life. Each year since, Total has accepted the challenge of designing a new theme for this award-winning gala, that transforms a raw train station into one of the most highly-acclaimed fundraisers in North America.

Designing an Award winning Daffodil Ball

From render…

…to reality

For close to three decades the Canadian Cancer Society’s Daffodil Ball has become the most successful cancer-related fundraising gala in Canada. For the last few years, Total has taken it to the next level, by elevating the dazzling decor and lighting, which radiates success, luxury, and style.

2017 - Imagine - The Beatles
& Beyond

Using state of the art lighting and video mapping technology, Total produced creative content that projected onto multiple abstract surfaces to fully immerse guests in a journey through the life of The Beatles. With each progression of the evening, the room transformed and connected to a classic Beatles song in a way you could only imagine.

2018 - The Silver Anniversary

To celebrate its 25th anniversary, the Daffodil Ball moved away from its traditional themes and focused on a celebration of its quarter-century of achievements. It was only apropos that the design team at Total Events use silver as the primary focus for this elegant evening. Among the many silver-themed decor elements created, the most imposing was the ceiling treatment, which stretched 150 feet across the length of the dining room and was composed of more than 2,000 panels of aluminum foil (totaling more than two miles in length).

2019 - A Tribute To Picasso

Pablo Picasso was known for his heavy use of geometric shapes and primary colors. Total’s creative team used Picasso’s work as the basis of their design, and included whimsical touches such as recreating his art studio as the guest entrance of the ball. Another fascinating element was the use of Picasso’s masterpieces that were styled in giant cubes as an art installation over the cocktail space. Picasso will forever be immortalized in the memories of this iconic gala.

A special thanks to the event producer, Alison Silcoff, for trusting our team year after year.
